My research centers on the following on my father's side: Hoover (Huber), Combs, Troutman, Kimbal, Doulph, Lieb (Lipe), Misenheimer, Rudisill, and Hertzel - North Carolina (Iredell County) and Pennsylvania. I can trace back Hoover to John Hoover (b 1782, d 1840) & Regene (Lipe) Lieb (b 1787 d. after 1870) but lose it in Pennsylvania due to its commonality. Leib can be traced to Reihen, Germany and Beggingen, Switzerland (1600's).
On my mother's side: Vickers, Woods, Boyer, Fry, and Huffman - Texas, Arkansas, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia. These families settled in Denton Creek, Gonzales, TX during the early 1800's coming from Tennessee, Virginia, and Georgia.
Also for my wife: Shealy, Alvarez, Jenkins, and Hughes - South Carolina and Florida
