HOOPINGARNER - KUHL (parents)
HOOPINGARNER- WALKER KUHL-WINTER(grandparents)
HOOPINGARNER-HORTON WALKER-HOYT KUHL-BROOKS WINTER-BUSS (great-grandparents)
This tree focuses on the above major lines.
Primarily, I have been working on a complete Hoopingarner family tree for all of the branches in the country and currently have over 5,000 people dating back to the 480 A.D. through my great grandmother Louis "Loie" Horton.
I am the daughter of:
Roger Allen, b. 1934, Constantine, MI
Rex Vaughn, 1907, Branch Co., MI
Ora Austin, b. 1871, Branch Co., MI
Gabriel, b. 1826, Tuscarawas Co., OH
Jacob, b. 1792, Washington Co., PA
John, b. 1754, PA
George, b. 1719? Europe (Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany?)
A note on spelling. It seems that regardless of the spelling, Hoopingarner, Hoopengarner, Hopingardner, etc., we are all related. To save my sanity, and to make it easier to find individuals, I have chosen to use the most common spelling for all Hoopingarners. Please don't be offended, where possible I use the AKA field or other note field to show the current spelling for that individual's name.
The family first settled in Bedford Co., PA then one brother moved to Tuscarawas Co., OH and another moved to Indiana via West Virgnia. At this time there are major populations in Michigan, Indiana, and some "Hoopies" in Ohio. Of course, in recent generations we are in almost each of the 50 states.
I would love any information on possible links between Conrad and John as brothers and sons of George and possible other sons, George and Caspar. Also information on George, especially which country he came from when he sailed here out of Rotterdam in 1752.
I have a very complete database throughout the 1800's but need your help with the current generations. Click below to see a complete book with ancestor trees, decendency charts. Check the index for your name.
I continute to track the other family lines, in particular, Brooks, Buss, Kuhl, Walker and Winter but do this mostly with the help of other relatives who are primarily focused on those lines. I will be happy to put you in touch with them if that is your interest.
