* Terry E. Hooker of Webster City, Iowa*

Updated January 14, 2007

I am researching the Hooker family from Uhrichville, Tuscarawas Co., Ohio. John Hooker Sr. and Mary (unknown) first appear in the 1830 Census. We believe them to be one of Ohio's first families. One of John Hooker Sr. sons is John Hooker Jr., who married Mary Field(s). We believe them to have had 6 or 7 children including: Alvira, John III, Maranda, Elizabeth, Joseph, and William.

William H. Hooker is my direct ancestor. He married Matilda R. Mercer of McConnelsville, Ohio. As far as I know they had 6 children. Lillian, David Elmer, Joesph Quincey, Idella Mae, Alectus D., and Charles William
Some of the states in our history include Ohio, Iowa, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon, and Missouri.

I have only have been working on this a few months, but I have accumulated alot of information, and would be happy to share what I have with anyone interested. If you find that you have information to add or if some of my info is incorrect please contact me by email.

I would like to Thank: Timothy Meng - GerMeng@yahoo.com,
Robert Jackson, Carol Alsept, and Carol Black for contributing to this tree and sharing pictures.

Thank you, Terry
