* The Ancesters of James Henry Hooker*

Updated July 6, 2001

I am trying to put together a family tree, It is proving to be difficult as both my parents died when I was young.

My fathers name is (James Henry Hooker) I think he was born in Bermondsey London around 1915, he died aged 30 in 1945.

My mothers name was Rose Caroline Burnett, she took my dads name (Hooker) and after his death she remarried to a (Charles Robert Henry Whitney) she died aged 40 in 1953. Ialso believe my mother was born in Bermondsey S. E. London.

My sister inlaw tells me she could have Scottish roots,Ihave seen quite a few references to the name Hooker in the south of England, namely a Bishops statue in the grounds of Exeter Cathedrial and a Public water fountain near Dartmouth.

I have two brothers one who died Nov last year in Germany, and another living in Kent both older than me.

There are two step sisters born of my mother and my step father Charles Whitney, they live in the Croyden area of London.

My mother had three brothers Edward, George and Alfred and a sister Katherine, I know of no relations to my father.
