Since I married into a family full of such good people, I've wanted to know more about them. So, far I've learned that they have been good folks since they got here. I, too, come from good people and I've always been curious about the people who contributed to me, especially since my grandmother's parents were both adopted. I've had lots of help from Cindy McMullen, here in Lufkin at the Kurth Memorial Library,as well as friendly folks like Jack Mitchell in Rainbow City, Alabama, Lindsey Baine in Georgia, and Karen Wall here in Texas, who just wanted to help. My mother-in-law, Tammy Hopson, started me off with book loads of information that seemed to come right off the top of her head. My grandmother and grandfather, Margaret and J.J. Kelch also contributed memories, photos, and knowledge for this page and the information in it. Thank you so much, everyone. I've really enjoyed working and researching with you. Any information from anyone else would be tremendously appreciated as well. Please feel free to contact me about changes that are needed, or additions to the tree. Hope you find what you're looking for. Good Luck. And remember, that since the beginning of time, all things are possible with God. | The Family Histories of Amanda and Michael Hopson of Texas Updated January 16, 2002 |
