| Researching all descendents of Adam Pentz (aka Georg Adam Benz). Adam was born in Wuurtemburg, Germany 1728. Soldier during the French & Indian War in the 60th Royal American Foot. Adam married Sussannah Perry and had four surviving children, Frederick, Adam, Catherina Margaretta and Elizabeth. The descendents of this family were prominent in the New York City area. The descendents of Frederick were Merchants, Attorneys and Bankers. The descendents of Adam were Coopers, Shippers, Merchants and Attorneys. The family were substantial landowners in Manhattan, and were very involved with the Volunteer fire department in the early years. I have been researching this family for quite some time along with two other researchers. We welcome correspondence with other descendents. Some of the data we have accumulated are; City Directory listings from 1786 to 1886, a large number of wills and deeds, various birth/marriage/death listings and other miscellaneous data.
