The Hope Family Home Page

I am researching the family of Hugh S. Hope. He first appears on the 1850 census in Harrison Co., Texas, where he also served two terms as sheriff. This is the only record I have found so far on him. I would greatly appreciate any help in identifying his parents and siblings. Also, I am willing to share what information I have on his descendents.

This family is loosely connected to the family of Revolutionary War hero Alexander Hamilton, and to the Campbell clan of Scotland, so any information on those families would also be greatly appreciated.
