The James E Hope Family Home Page

It is hoped that this page will help in locating other family members and finally put together a complete family tree.
The Hope family that I have records for left Northumberland England in the 1820-1825 era and lived in Quebec before moving to Tilbury East Township in Kent County.
The first hope I have records for was William who married Isabella AINSLIE/AINSLEY. The marriage is presumed to have been in Quebec as both families emigrated at about the same time and settled in the same area.

Thanks to Robert Marshall, a new found cousin, and a great lady "Bessie" Marshall, I have much more family information and many more surnames to add to the family search.

New surnames: Walker;Norry:Selkirk;Coulter;Scott.

Most of the families resided in the Tilbury area of Kent County, Ontario.

Thanks to a cousin in the west and one in Ohio I have been able to add to my Mother's side of the family and hope to shortly add the surnames to this site of many of the family. Thanks Dee and Bruce for your additions to the research.
