Greetings from the Hopwood family of British Columbia, Canada. This "Page" is designed to provide and gather geneological information on the family of William Edwin Hopwood (b.1843,m.1864,d.1903)and Eliza Brasier (nee Van Wyck) Hopwood (b.1847,m.1864,d.?)of London, England. We are interested in the origins and, at this time, descendants of the Hopwood family who are living in the UK, the US & Australia who may be able to shed some light on the family and its geneology in Britain. We know that William's son Thomas immigrated to Nelson BC, Canada around 1908 and his wife Jessie, sons Jack, Ernie, Joseph and daughters Dorothy and Laura left Staines, Middlesex to join Tom in 1913. William's daughter Sophia Annie Brazer Hopwood immigrated to Glenwood, Manitoba, Canada around 1889. Sophia married Richard Mann and moved to Plentywood, Montana shortly thereafter. We plan to provide information on the family in Canada and, as well, information on the relations of the Canadian Hopwoods, principally the Williamson family, who also immigrated from Widnes, Lancashire, at about the time (1910). We hope to add information on other related Canadian families. We appreciate any information or help you may be able to provide. We are happy to provide our information to you! Thank You!
