The Kent Hopkins Family Home Page

My geneology for the John Hopkins line is extensive and connects back to the Mayflower lines of Bradford, Howland, and Tilley. The Hopkinses in my direct line migrated across the United States from MA & CT to PA, OH, IL, IA, and MN. Many of them went on to CA, where most of the Hopkinses live today.

I am also researching my Grandmother Hopkins line, the Eighmeys, and my Maternal Grandparents lines, the Doolittles, and the Kents. Unfortunately, I have not been able to trace past my Great Grandfather Kent who was orphaned in Wales and came to the US as a young man to work in the ore mines in MI and MN. His name was Frank Alfred Kent and he had two brothers who also came to the US. If anyone can help me find his brothers families, I would be great.

The Great Mystery in our family tree is the missing Peter Frank Hopkins b. abt 1830, who left my Greatgrandmother Hopkins in IA and his two daughters to go to Chicago after the Great Chicago Fire to help rebuild and was never heard from again.

I will be happy to share any information I have.
