My Family History research is dedicated to my Grandparents -
William Reginald Thomas and Margaret Jane Thomas nee Parker.
When I was very young my grandmother told me that we were related to a bushranger and his name was "John Vane". This was a family secret, therefore no questions were asked. How I now regret that.
It has taken me 24 years to confirm our relationship with John Vane.
He is married to my great grandfather's (Thomas Parker) sister - Jane Parker.
Why did it take me so long?
Neither Jane or Thomas Parker were registered, therefore no birth certificates are available.
