| John Peter Youtsey (German spelling "Jutzi")immigrated into the United States at Philadelphia on December 22, 1744, aboard the ship "Muscliffe Galley" out of Rotterdam - Captain Georg Durell, Commander. At this time, it is not known from where in Germany he came - possibly Zweibrucken. His father's name was Peter. He left Pennsylvania and migrated to Frederick County, Maryland. He married Anna Eleanora Senors and they had five children, all of them being born in Frederick County, Maryland - John, b. Feb. 16, 1750/51 - Magdalene, b. about 1755 - Michael, b. Mar. 18, 1764 - Ann Catherine, b. about 1772 and Margaret, b. about 1775. There is a possibility of a brother by the name of Bernard who came to Philadelphia on the ship "Robert and Alice" on September 03, 1739, although that connection is very sketchy. Any information with regard to the origins of this family would be greatly appreciated. |
