| My Aunt Charlotte Hopkins/Lewis is in the final stages of making an extensive family tree album. The furthest back I have reached is James Hopkins b. 1755 probably in Ireland d. 1840He married Mary (?) b. 1757. Their son Jonathon Hopkins b. Feb 14,1782 married Mary Goss. They had 13 children. One son was Benjamin Franklin Hopkins b. Feb. 18,1835 d. July 9,1910 who married Caroline Cloud on March 17,1859. They had 11 children. One son was Newton Aurthur Hopkins b. July 6,1884 d. Sept. 21,1957, my grandfather, he married Margaret Ann Brooks. They had nine children. Ivan George Franklin Hopkins, Murray Aurthur Hopkins, Eva Blanche Hopkins, Gertrude Leonne Hopkins, Inez Marie Hopkins, Roland Kyle Hopkins "my father", Wanda Arlene Hopkins, Juanita Darlene Hopkins, Mary Charlotte Hopkins. Prominent surnames include Hopkins, Goss, Cloud, McCracken, Black, Banning, McFarland, McCleanen, McCalney, Groves, Young, Gasaway, Stover. I so far have over four hundred fifty people in my branch. |
