Elizabeth graduated from Castilleja Hall and went to Stanford University where she was a member of the Theta Sorority. Later she studied Art in Paris, France and also at the Art Center School in Los Angeles, CA. Her husband, Spencer Davis, was a war correspondent in Japan, Korea and Manchuris. It is believed, he established the Associated Press Office in Japan, Manila, and China. He became the head of the office in Manila for the three years; San Francisco, Far Eastern News Head for the Associated Press, then on to Washington D.C.
