Notes for William Marmaduke HOPPER: William Marmaduke was one of the founding fathers of Nashville, Indiana. He was married twice. When Duke was 64 he fell off a ladder and suffered from a broken neck for the next six years, until he died of a stroke at the age of 70. Duke was a black smith by trade, handed down from his father.
