* McGlothlin of the Clan MacLachlan*

Updated January 26, 2008

McGlothlin of the Clan MacLachlan: Research has began again on the McGlothlin family tree. Imformation once passed on dating back to the 1500's has been lost, and we are having to start over agin on our famly search. It is known that McGlothlin originated possibly here in the US in Virginia with Cornelius McGlothlin b. 1765 in Virginia. I am a McGlothlin contact for the gene research and my name is Claudine Horn, a daughter of Claudia McGlothlin and Grandaughter to Claude William McGlothlin whom has recently passed. I will be adding information and surnames as we go along with the research. My cousin Quinten "twice removed" have done extinsive research through internet, travel, libraries, and interviews and had contributed most of the information that exists today. We hope that with time, we can link all of our decendants. As for now, surnames are McGlothlin, Cole, Hunt, Bounds, Miller, Grisham, Hardin, Payne,
Although I am new to this research, these names may change with additions. I am greatful to any information that I may receive in any way. I am excited to inform everyone that we have recently discovered our Scottish Clan. "Clan MacLachlan", wich is one of the OLDEST of all Scottish clans. Copies of any documents are incouraged to be sent to me for recording, as well as any information, possible names, dates, etc. As a McGlothlin, we are proud to be McGlothlins and I hope to share and spread all information collected amoung our family for our future generations.
