The Hortons of North and South Carolina are decendents of Barnabus Horton, one of the 13 original settlers of Long Island, NY. Names that we are currently trying to research include Horton, Lee, Green(e), McNeill (McNeil),Biddix, Conley, Bird, Riley, Bennett, Hensley, Penland, Grindstaff, Thomas, Willis, Cato, and Hilton.
