| I have just begun researching the Horneman name (and it's many variants). I was always told that "Any Horneman I meet is related to me" - but after doing all this research, I think that phrase is very inaccurate. My research only goes back to the 1850's, with an educated guess at putting Hermann Hornemann from Berlin, Germany as my great, great grandfather. I found very little information on him through someone elses page which detailed the life of Peter Hornemann (Hermann's brother). As Herman, Peter, and August are common names in my family, the location (Oil City, PA), and birth dates seem to match, I am assuming that this is correct, and have no "written documentation" to verify this.I have been talking with Hornemans, Hornemanns, Hornamans, and even a Hornman. Much more research needs done by me - but if anyone has any links or information, please forward to me!!!!
