I am researching the HORN Family from PA to KY, the LUCAS Family from Maryland to VA to KY,the TYMN (Tymczyszyn) Family from the Ukraine to NY to CA and the KOLDE Family of Cincinnati, OH.
I have traced my branch of the Horn Family back to Thomas Horn born in PA about 1774. He married Priscilla Shacklett(e)in Fayette County, PA about 1796 and they eventually settled in Hardin County, KY. I descend from Thomas' son Jesse Horn born December 10, 1810 in Hardin County, KY. Jesse married Elizabeth Davenport in Hardin County, KY on December 5, 1837. Jesse's son James was born in 1845 and married Sarah "Sallie" Bramer on March 6, 1878 in Hardin County, KY. James and Sallie had a son, Mack Horn, who married Edna Ambrose Buckler. Mack and Edna had 7 children including my grandfather, Edward Louis Horn, born July 14, 1916 in Vine Grove, Hardin County, KY.

The Lucas Family can be traced back to Ignatius Lucas of Prince George's County, Maryland. There are 4 sons that can be accounted for but 11 children are listed in a 1776 Prince George's County census. I am a descendant of Ignatius' son, Benedict Lucas born in 1774. The family moved to VA and settled in Breckinridge, Nelson and Grayson Counties of KY. Benedict married Rachel Crume February 24, 1797 in Nelson County, KY. My line is as follows: Ignatius, Benedict, Henry, John L., Henry Ambrose and my grandmother, Wanda Maryland Lucas.

I am also researching my mother's family, the Tymn Family originally from the Ukraine. I have traced the family back to Stephan Tymczyszyn of Opracahienci, Galicia, Ukraine. Stephan was born about 1800 and married Olena. They had a son, Lazarius. Lazarius' son, John, married Viola Paulina Brok and they came to New York around the turn of the century. They had 4 boys including my grandfather, Henry Tymn. Henry finally settled in CA.

Finally, I am beginning to research my fiance's family from Cincinnati, OH. My fiance's father's name is Donald Norbert George Kolde adopted in OH around the early 1940's. We are now living in Minnesota.

If you would like to compare or trade information concerning any of these families, please e-mail me.
