I am presently researching the Horne Surname as it applies to my Lineage. Thus far we have researched from Boston, Massachusetts to Wolfeboro, New Hampshire to England and now have strong beliefs that John Horne who sailed from England on the Winthrop Fleet (Eleven ships) in 1630, and landed along the Massachusetts Coast, is part of our ancestry. ***************************************************************** These quotes are from copies of actual correspondence received by the Family History Department of the LDS Church: We lost our Grandmother, will you please send us a copy? The wife of #22 could not be found. Somebody suggested that she might have been stillborn - what do you think? Further research will be necessary to eliminate one of the parents. He and his daughter are listed as not being born. I would like to find out if I have any living relatives or dead relatives or ancestors in my family. A 14-year-old boy wrote: "I do not want you to do my research for me. Will you please send me all of the material on the Welch line, in the US, England and Scotland countries? I will do the research. Here's some more Funnies.............. My family tree must be a pecan because it is full of nuts. Heredity: Everyone believes in it until their children act like fools! "Sure, a real job would be nice, but it would interfere with my genealogy!" So many dead men! So little time! Why waste your money looking up your family tree, just go into politics and your opponents will do it for you. ***************************************************************** A Special Thank You.... I would like to Thank Penny Martin of Wolfeboro, New Hampshire for her kindness and generosity, for if it were not for her, I would still be in a Checkmate with the Horne ancestry. *****************************************************************
