2. WILLIAM JAMES² KAY (HARRISON K¹) was born Abt 1847 in Cobb County, Georgia, and died 1870-1871 in Texas/ Arkansas. He married ELIZABETH SMYTHE in Arkansas.

Notes
Family trudition has it that James was currier during the Civil War for some officer. He was wounded, the bullet hit a spoon in his pocket and did not kill him. This spoon was at one time with several members of the family for they all reported seeing this spoon with a whole in it.... It unfortunately has been lost over the years....James died, probably in Texas, though there is no record of his moving to Texas with his family... (Madison's place of birth is listed as Falls Co., on his death certificate and on his S.S. record) when Madison was quiet young (by 1870/71) of complications of the wound he suffered in the war. His wife Elizabeth Jane Smythe took their only child, Madison, and returned to Arkansas to live with her parents.....Madison told stories to his children and grand children about the poor state of affairs at his grandfathers plantation after the war.... of eating baked sweet potatoes baked by the negroes,( who stayed on the home place), in the coals of the fire. Of fishing with them down on the river and that if it had not been for their resourcefulness they would have all starved to death....

3. JOHN THOMAS² KAY (HARRISON K¹) was born 1849 in Cobb Co., Georga, and died March 06, 1872 in Belton,Bell Co., Texas. He married EDITH ELIZABETH FORBES March 23, 1871 in Stranger, Falls Co., Texas (Blue Ridge).

Child of John Kay and Edith Forbes is:

SARAH ELIZABETH³ KAY, b. February 05, 1872; d. December 08, 1955, Lawn, Taylor Co.. Texas.

4. HENRY P.² KAY (HARRISON K¹) was born May 25, 1851 in Cobb Co. Georgia, and died July 25, 1931 in Proctor, Comanche Co. Texas. He married MARY JANE DARDEN December 14, 1872 in Blue Ridge, (Stranger)Falls, Co. Texas.

Children of Henry Kay and Mary Darden are:

	i.		ALONZO DEBASCO³ KAY, b. October 22, 1873.
	ii.		THEODOCIA KAY, b. 1876-1877.
	iii.		RICHARD ATHO KAY, b. 1883.
