attended Alta Vista Elementary, South Junior High, Abilene High and was in the first graduating class of Cooper High School in May of 1962. She attended McMurry College in Abilene majoring in Art.



  Notes for DONALD MARVIN HORTON:
Don, son of Sam and Lucy Horton, attended school in Abilene, Texas at Valley
View, North Junior High and Abilene High School. As a child,Don was always
interested in building and fixing things. In high school, he aspired to become
an engineer. He accomplished this goal after serving in the United States Navy
where he was promoted to the rank of petty officer 1st class. While in the
navy, he served two tours as a drill instructor for new recruits. After the
navy, he was graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1965
with a Batchelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
