Searching Michigan for Family Names, HOVEY, VAN SICKLE, SPEELMEN, CONANT.
Traced Edwin Hovey in Vassar, Tuscola CT. Born about 1836.He was a dentist.Married Julia Jones, born 1839. Their son, my grandfather, Deufay married Hatti Van Sickle in 1891. He was a printer. Her parents were Justine Van Sickle and Mattie Lawrence. Edwin remarried in 1888 to S. Fitch.
Jan Speelmen, born abt. 1835 and Jenneke Wildelver, born abt, 1827 had son Peter, born about 1854. All born in Netherlands. Need more information on their immigration. Peter married Annie Sluetal, born 1864.
Annie Sleutal's parents were Peter Sluetal, born abt, 1818 and Wihlemina Falstien, born abt. 1829. Both born in Netherlands.
Peter and Annie Speelmen were the parents of Nellie Speelmem, my grandmother. Nellie married George Conant.
Grorge Conant is the son of Ruben Hess Conant.
Husbands parents are the Horat's and Geisser from Switzerland and Henningsen and Carlsen from Denmark. All information is needed on these families.
