William Thomas Horton was born at Brierley Hill in Staffordshire, His father was William Plant Horton, he married Lucinda Whittaker at the Parish Church, Quarry Bank, Staffordshire, on the 11-9-1898.
By 1900 they were living at 15, Edwards Terrace, Pentwyn, Glamorgan, South Wales.
William went to work at the Deep Navigation Coal Mine at Treharris.
He had 8 children, all born in Wales.
He also had a brother John Caley Horton, that migrated with some of the family to Auckland, New Zealand in 1879
He Died 1942.
Buried at Beachgrove Cemetery, Edwardsville, Nr. Treharris, South Wales.
