State of Alabama Clay County Personally appeared before me James G McCaine an acting Justice of the Peace in and for said county James M. Horn who being duly sworn deposes and saith, that he is forty years old and that he is the son of Joshua Horn a deceased penioner of the War of 1812 under the act of July 14, 1871 no 19107 and Dorothy Ann Horn the Widow of Joshua Horn applied for a pensionunder the Act of March 9th 1878 no 40.723 his mother and that he has made obligant search and (unreadable) but cannot (unreadable) or find any (unreadable 2 words) that was present at this marriage with the eception of Mrs. Lavinia Dunlap a resident of Elmore County, State of Alabama whose testimony is enclosed. And that my mother Dorothy Ann Horn commonly called Aunt Dollie is still unmarried and the the records of Court at Conecuh have been burnt as the Judge of Probate certificate shows sworn and indented.
