 on the this the 11th day of November 1863 personally appeared before me, the subscriber, a justice of the peace in for the county aforesaid, Joshua Horn Senr who after he is sworn according to law, deposes and says that he is the father of Joshua Horn Junr deceased who was a member of Capt J. () Elliots Company 30th regt Ala Vol Commanded by Col Shelby in the service of the Confederate State in the present war with the united State that the said Joshua Horn Junr
extend the services at Talladega in Talladega County and State of Alabama in or about the 5th day of May 1862 and died on the 22nd day of May 1863 being killed during the Seige of Vicksburg, leaving no wife nor child surviving, that said Joshua Horn Junr makes his deposition for the purpose of obtaining from the government of the Confederate States whatever may have been due the dead Joshua Horn junr at the time of his death for pay bounty or other allowances for his services aforesaid.
