Includes NotesNotes for James Madison Horn:
Many thanks to Carroll Horn of Arkansas for unravelling the mystery surrounding the middle name of James. Our family has speculated for years that it was either Matt or Matterson or Madison but proof is in the pudding as they say and with a certified copy of the marriage license to Catherine Cardwell in Coosa Co where it clearly states MADISON HORN on it, we can rest assured that this was his name.

Dad says that the James Madison Horn house in Horn's Valley was just over the county line where the Valley is split between Talladega and Clay counties inside Clay Co. One of the Horns that lives close to the area now used some of the rock from the original house in his own house.
