Elizabeth Melton (b. July 15, 1856, d. February 21, 1931)

Elizabeth Melton (daughter of William Melton and Laura Smith)^{195, 196, 197} was born July 15, 1856 in Alabama, and died February 21, 1931 in Clay Co, Al¹⁹⁸. She married James Thomas Phillips, son of John Thomas Phillips and Irene Fatima Jones.

Notes for Elizabeth Melton:
There is an Eliza Phillips in Sylacauga in 1930 living with a child. I assume the Child is the wife and her name is Sadie but I don't have our Eilzabeth as having a child named Sadie. Eliza is the right age to be ours but am unsure if they are associated. By the same token, I cannot find Elizabeth in Clay county in 1930. Maybe time will tell.

I asked Aunt Ann 6/2/2007 about this and she doesn't think that there was a child named Sadie.
