Irene Fatima Jones173, 174, 175, 176 was born 1830 in Alabama, and died Aft. 1900. She married John Thomas Phillips on Abt. 1849.
Notes for Irene Fatima Jones: After John Thomas Phillips was killed in the Civil war, the children went to live with the Elijah Horn family and they appear in the 1870 census there but Fatima (the mother of the kids and wife of John Thomas Phillips) does appear in the 1880 census living with Rufus and his family. She next appears in the 1900 census in the Baucum house (her daughter Mamie aka Missie married William Baucum). The Phillips' all deeded over the land to William Baucum for him to take care of the Phillips' mother. She does not appear in any further census so it is presumed that she died between 1900 and 1910. We don't know where she is buried but my Dad speculates that she is buried on the Baucum property but there is a good chance she is in an unmarked grave at Bethlehem since that is where the Baucums are buried.
