I am searching for ancestors prior to 1750 in Newfoundland Canada. The last known relative I have found is Harold Edgar Horwood. I have traced about 192 names dating back that far.
A well known author Harold Horwood has written several books about Newfoundland, and he has listed in the forward of one of his books the name of his great uncle Samuel Horwood. Samuel Horwood is my grandfather.

The author's publisher McMillen Co. of Toronto has stated the Horwood's have been in Newfoundland for over 300 years. We have just returned from a visit to Newfoundland and visited the homestead of dad. We went to the cemetery and took videos of the headstones
with important dates. Three of my father's brothers are still living and provided a lot of imformation. Their names are Chesley age 79, Walter 84, and Fred 86 if this will bring any response.

I will be glad to share other information of the tree collected so far.
