Ernest Nathan Sr was a native of Prussia, Germany. and the youngest of five children whose parents were Fred and Wilhelmina Nathan. He left home in 1869 on the Borussia steamship with his wife Caroline Kaatzken, infant Juls, Wilhelmina (whom I believe to be his mother) and Franz (whom I believe to be his brother.)He spent time in Wisconsin and in 1872 started for Nebraska where he lived the rest of his life in two sod houses and erected a dwelling in 1882. He and Caroline had seven children, namely, Julius, Ernest, Herman, Otto, Martha, Minnie and August (d - shortly after birth in 1885.) I have explored the family of Ernest Nathan Sr, but now would like to learn more about his parents, brothers and sisters. If there are any additions, corrections, deaths, etc., to the descendant family tree of Ernest Nathan, Sr., please contact me and I will update. |
