| Working on the following family lines: HOUSE, TILLEY, PHIPPS, SANDERS, KESNER, STILES, CARTER, MILAM, SPERRY, BLACK. The House and Phipps lines came from Virginia west and were in Arkansas by the Civil War. The Tilley and Sanders lines came from TN and were in Arkansas before the Civil War. The Kesner line was in Arkansas before Civil War, unknown where from. John Black served in Civil War from North Carolina and was taken pow and held in New York. After the war he came to Carrol county Arkansas and was minister at Rock Springs Baptist Church and is buried in church yard. Sperry line was in Carrol county Arkansas and just north in Missouri in late 1800's. John Hall Milam was born IN 1850's and made land run into Pawnee County, OK in 1893 from Kansas. Carter and Stiles were in Mason county Texas in late 1800's. |
