This is the story of Frederick Pfeiffer who came from Prussia at the year of 1788. He married and had 6 children. I am a descendant of the Pfeiffer Clan. My grandmother Roxie Pauline Guio married Thomas Robertson. Roxie's father was Amos E. Guio and her mother was Mary Wilkes. Amos is the son of Solistine Guio and Mary Pyfer. Mary Pyfer is the daughter of George Pyfer and Mary Sweigart. Mary Pyfer was one of six children. George Pyfer was the son of Frederick Pfeiffer and Mary Schweicker.

    George Pyfer 1822-1889 George Pyfer, son of Frederick and Mary Pfeiffer was Born 1/3/1822 in Martie Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was married 1/1/1844 to Mary Sweigart daughter of George and Catherine (Heft) Sweigart of Landisville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He was one of seventeen children born. There were eleven boys and six girls. Nine of them grew up into adulthood. He came west in the year of 1858 in March, and settled at Haldane, Ogle County, Illinois. George married 3 times. But Mary Sweigart was the mother to all seventeen of his children.

    Gladys Pyfer Hammer was the author of "Frederick and His Follower". Second Edition 1973. Gladys was Born in 11/2/1900 in Ogle, Illinois and Died in 2/29/1996. During her lifetime she married Ray William Hammer on 2/9/1926 in Ogle, Illinois. Gladys parents were Elias B. Pyfer and Nellie Perrine. Gladys and Ray William had one chiild together named Fern A. Hammer. Fern was Born about 1929 in Ogle County, Illinois.
