For most of you Houston’s, the tale of being a descendant of Sam Houston or in the same line WAS a question. I can tell you that my DNA did NOT match enough characters with a direct descendant of Gen. Sam Houston. However, we did match with several others in the Houston Surname study through FamilyTree DNA.com . I am working with one of them to put the pieces together.
Please only invite those or share this web page with only Family Members. Be conscious that the tree shows information on the Living, which someone might not want others to know outside the Family.
EASY DIRECTIONS: In the MY FAMILY HISTORY, click on InterneTree Link. Once clicked a box will come up. Click Search then Click Find Person. Scroll to the name your looking for and click on that person. They will come up in the box with their tree. Example: type in Levi Shy. His name will come up in the box with his tree. Click on his name in the white box. NOTICE on the web page BEHIND the InterneTree it will pull up everything about Levi Shy and a picture where he died in the Civil War. And so on.. For a easy view you can blow up the InterneTree then look back to the regular web page for information on them. Play around and have fun. Takes a little to get used to.
