Family Tree Maker's Genealogy Site: User Home Pages: The Chandler McCoy Miller Family, from Jefferson County, TN


This is an attempt to compile my family's history. Hopefully, some of you will be able to help me complete the missing links. If, at any time, you find mistakes please feel free to email me and I will correct it. The Miller Family seems to have come from Jefferson County, Tennessee and some moved to North and South Carolina. The Brooks Family may have been in Tennesse, but mostly ended up in South Carolina. The parents of my grandfather, Chandler Miller, were Fillmore Miller and Susan Miller. We have very little information on her but I have found some indication that her father may have been David C. Miller, which means she was a Miller before she married a Miller. The mystery is whether or not they were related. If you know of anything about this, please let me know. The parents of my grandmother, Leona Brooks, were Addie Cole and Albert Brooks. When Albert died, Addie married his brother, James Brooks. My information on this side is very limited at this time. James Gideon and Rosella Miller (66 KB) These are my Great Great Grandparents. It is believed that this picture was taken from a color charcoal drawing. My GGGreat Grandpa Fillmore with my Mom (66 KB) Here my mom (Shirley Miller Wiggins) is only 2. Grandpa Chandler McCoy Miller (16 KB) This is my grandfather who was married to Leona. He was called "Chan." Grandma Leona Brooks Miller (12 KB) This is my grandmother who was married to Chandler McCoy Miller. They had 13 children. This is grandma Miller and her children. (30 KB) Larry, Sandy, Betty, Janice, Truman, Grandma, Von, Shirley,and Gene. Donna (the youngest of the 13) is the bride.
