| This is the Wiggins Family Web Page from Swain County, North Carolina. We have run into a brick wall and would like for anyone who has information to contact us. Basically, we have heard a couple of stories about our ancestor, Jason Wiggins, born about 1818. One is that his mother was a Johnson and that he was abandoned in a family well, then taken in by a Wiggins family and raised as their own. Another is that he was John's son by a servant girl. The family that raised Jason was Abraham and Nancy Covard Wiggins. We believe that these were his natural grandparents but we are still unsure. He was listed on all of the census with this family until he was married in 1840. If you have a link, please contact us.
