3. WILLIAM BOGARDUS2 HOWARD (JOHN WILLIAM1) was born Abt. 1820 in probably South Carolina, and died 1863 in Coosa County Alabama. He married NANCY D HILL October 17, 1844 in Chambers County Alabama, daughter of SION HILL and FRANCES DISMUKES. She was born May 14, 1829 in Georgia.

Nancy D. Hill
Be it remembered that on the 15th day of October 1844
William B. Howard made application for a marriage license
and filed the following bond in the County Clerks office of
Chambers County, Alabama viz

The State of Alabama
Chambers County
Know all men by these two acts that we William B. Howard
and Simon Hill are held and firmly bound unto his excellency
Ben Fitzpatrick Governor of this State and his Successors in
office in a final sum of Two Hundred dollars, for payment of
which well and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each and
every of our heirs executors or administrators jointly and severally
firmly by these presents, sealed with our Seals and dated the 15th
day of October A. D. one thousand Eight Hundred and forty four.
The condition of the above obligation is such that if there be no
lawful cause why William B. Howard and Nancy D. Hill should
not be joined together in the holy reunion of matrimony then this
obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue.

authority for so doing. Given under my hand and seal this 15th day of
October A. D. one thousand Eight Hundred and forty four, and of
American Independence the Sixty Ninth year.

4. JOHN "JACK" SIMPSON2 HOWARD (JOHN WILLIAM1) was born Abt. 1825 in Monroe County, Georgia, and died 1906 in Eastland County, Texas. He married OLIVIA SARAH MARTIN FIELD February 1847 in Russell County Alabama. She was born Abt. 1830 in probably in Georgia.

your sufficient authority for so doing.
Given under my hand and Seal, this 15th day of February A. D.

forty-seven.
