William David Alred (son of Elisha Turner Alred and MALINDA A PACE) was born September 07, 1858 in Denton, TX, and died June 27, 1926 in Lubbock, TX. He married SEMILDA LAVINA NORRIS on October 19, 1879 in Denton, TX, daughter of JOHN NORRIS and Lovina Hartman.

W. D. Alred was once a stage driver for George Soule. He came to Wichita Falls in 1883 and later moved to the Electra area where he dug a well for water and got brine. He had two sons and five daughters
one who married Dean Howard.

He and is wife are buried in Riverside Cemetery. Their daughter Iva Pearl (Dunkel) Alred is also buried in Riverside Cemetery, Wichita Falls, Wichita Co, TX. They share the same tombstone. Iva Pearl's
name is on the West side and W. D and his wife Semilda or on the East side. We were looking for his
grave and had given up and was walking back to the car when my daughter Cathey Cope saw it. 5-16-00

William Alred is buried in Wichita Co, Riverside Cemetery, but he died in Lubbock Texas. I talked to the County Clerk about his death certificate, but she said it show where is Parents were born.
