The Hauer/Hower Genealogy Home Page

I have been researching the Hower name for some time. It appears that most German Howers descended from 3 brothers who came here from Baden, Wurtemburg, Germany. Their descendants began their migration throughout Pennsylvania and Ohio and have since spread all over the United States of America. There is also another German line that settled in Maryland, which is not included here because I can not connect them. There are also many misspellings of the name Howard, which are not related, on census records and many English Howars. Eventually we all get back to Adam and Eve, making this quite futile to start with. However, it is very interesting to see the family moving patterns, the accomplishments and the relations we have all around us.
