Hello All who visit this site:
What a wonderful journey we are on - trying to find our ancestors! Please know that we who spend hours plowing through census, marriage, death, military, and literally tons of other records - are leaving a legacy behind. Something that our children, grandchildren, greatchildren will be able to look back on and say "That's who I am, that's who I came from" Let the rest of the world think we are wasting our time...we know better!
I hope that you will find something you can use in these records, if not - keep looking! You'll find it!
I have carefully researched all the information in my family tree. The research has led me all the way back to Henry Howland, who's brother John came over on the Mayflower. Henry Howland lived in Plymouth, Mass and was one of the founding fathers of this country.
I have also recently done some research into the Charboneau family. It is quite possible that we could be descendents of Toussaint Charboneau, who was a guide for the Lewis and Clark expedition with his wife, Sacajawea. I would appreciate any information that might help me in this area of my research.
There are over 300 names in this family tree, and it is still growing. I am careful not to enter names unless I have them pretty well documented. If you find anything that may not be accurate I would appreciate your input. I would very much welcome any information anyone can provide on any of my desendents, and I would be willing to share any and all information that I have to help you in your efforts.
