"The Howard/Tanfani/Banchetti Family Page"

I am a descendent of the Banchetti and Tanfani families, both originally from the Marches region of Italy; from small towns and villages near the provincal capitol, the city of Ancona. The Banchetti's immigrated to the southern U.S. in 1901. They were a part of the Sunnyside Plantation communitty of farm laborers in Chicot county Arkansas before moving to the Leland, Mississippi area. I'm not sure yet about the exact dates or about when the Tanfani's immigrated to the U.S., but my grandfather appears to have come on his own at the age of 17 and settling first in the North-East, perhaps in the New Jersey area.
My father's family, the Howard's, have lived in the Jackson, Mississppi area for at least 2 generations. I have not yet been able to determine how long, etc.... (I am just getting started with all of this research!).
