Basically I am seeking information on the forfathers of Richard Howell& the forbears of his wife Catharine hart Howell. They were married in NovaScotia,I believe at Amherst,N.S.in the year of 1844.Richard is supposedly from leeds England his family were in the weaver trade.He was born on Dec.28,1820,set sail at 15 yrs.of age ,jumped ship in N.S.4 years later,landed at Windsor N.S.,where he met,and married Catharine.Her parents were William Hart(Hartt)&Elizabeth Shanks Hart of Nova Scotia.Three children were born to them in n.s.In 1849 they migrated to Caribou,Me.Where eight more children were born of which five died and are buried in Evergreen cemetary in Caribou.They then migrated to Gillett Wi.where one more child was buried.Only four of the eleven grew to adulthood.William,George,John,&Amy arethe names of those who made it to become adults.Any info. welcome!
