I have researched the families of Southwestern Virginia. My families have been there for five generations. I have focused on the Howard, Fleenor, & Vencill families. I have a large database of the Fleenor all over America and in Germany. I have a database of just Vencill/Wentzell. The Fleenor & Vencill are German. I have the Howard and others back to England. Vencill of VA and America (409 KB) Vencill/Vincell/Wentzell of PA, N.VA, & Tazewell Co., VA. They came from Rhineland, Germany about 1745, to Phil., PA. They spread to central PA, MD, and Northern VA (Loudon Co., VA) Lewis Vincell came to Tazewell Co., VA abt. 1800; and his descendants have settled all across America.
