I am currently researching Robert Howard, his wife Sarah, and their ancestry. "Robert Howard, with his wife Sarah, came from England in 1790 and settled in what is now West Virginia." The 1820 Census picks up his family later in Jackson County, Ohio. Robert and his first wife Sarah had five children. They were: (1) Joseph, born 17 Nov 1792, (2) Anthony, born ca. 1794, (3) Pheby, born ca. 1795, (4) William, born ca. 1798, (5) Sarah, born ca. 1800.

Joseph Howard, son of Robert and Sarah, married Anna Randall in 1818 and moved to Vermillion Co., Indiana in 1821 and from there westward to Nebraska in 1870. Joseph and Anna had eight children: William, Milton, Rezin (Reason), Anthony, Rebecca, John Wesley, Phebe Jane, and Mary Ann. Joseph Howard is buried in the cemetary at Peru, Nebraska.

I'm looking for more information also on Anna Randall's (Runnels) grandfather, Jasper Writer, who married Eve Kortright 8 September 1772 in Phillipsburg, Orange County, New York, and died 15 November 1842. The 1840 Census for Orange County supports his age as over 100 and he is buried next to his wife in Mount Hope Cemetery in Orange County.
