The John S. Howell Family Home Page

I am currently researching two branches of the family in hopes of tracing them back to their countries of origin. First is the family of my maternal great-grandmother, Eliabeth Sterling. She was born in Little Ballymena, County Antrim, Ireland, ca. 1840, into the Methodist religion. In July 1865, she married John Boyle (the name later changed to Bowle) in Schuylkill County,PA. Second is the family of my paternal great-grandfather, John Howell. He and his wife,Gwenlian Jones, emigrated from Wales in 1857. They met on board ship and were later married in Pottsville, PA, where they raised their family. In both areas of research, I have been unable to discover ports of departure/arrival or ship names. Any assistance in this area would be welcome.
