The Orgin Of The Howie Name Is Believed To Come From Three French "HUIE" Brothers Who Were Albigenses From The Langduedoc Region of France And Immigrated To Scotland In the 12th Century. Some Descendants Of These Brothers Immigrated To The America's In The 17th Century. John, William, Samuel And Robert Howie Settled In The Carolina's Around 1770. The Africans Held In Bondage By These Howie's Took On the Howie Surname With The Passage Of the 13th Amendment To the Constitution. Descendants Of These African Howie's Has Been Found Throughout The United States.
