Hows Family Tree and associated branches.

Ever since I can remember people have tried to spell my surname differently, either adding an E somewhere or LL and other variants. In the age of Commadore 64s and the BBC computer using basic, I went to St Catherines house in London as a teenager, looking for my family history. Needless to say I didn't get very far! Since the advent of the Personal Computer and the World Wide Web my simmering interest has become a major hobby. I started getting results when searching for my maternal Grandfathers surname of Baggott, and was handed details of a family going back to 1086 and possibly beyond, by fellow researchers. The bug got to me! The surnames of my Grandparents are Hows, Glasper, Baggott and Green. Hows back 3 generations appears in the Barnet/ Finchley (Herts, Middx, London), Glasper seems to be in County Durham, Baggotts originated in Walsall/ Staffs as do the Greens.
Any information would be gratefully received and equally if I can be of assistance to anyone I will gladly try to assist them.
