I am descended on the Hoxie side from Lodowick-Gideon-Simeon-Abner-Isaac-Allen-Silas P.-James H.-Bert S.-Wilbur J. James Herbert Hoxie married Susan Frances Campbell in Sauk County, Spring Green, Wisconsin. Susan's parents were Isaac Campbell and Mary Gernert-(Garnet)Campbell (see photo with Mary, her two daughters and second husband Nicholas Poole). Susan Campbell-Hoxie's sister,Addie Campbell-Clark married a George Clark. I am seeking information and have information to share on Hoxies, Campbells,Gernert(Garnet's), Moodys and Schaffners. Jacob Schaffner married Mary Lehr (or Elher) and lived in Quincy, Illinois. One of his sons was named Louis Schaffner (my great-grandfather) Born March 18, 1877 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was deaf from a childhood illness. His son was also named Louis Schaffner. His daughter was Genevieve Schaffner-Hoxie. My great-grandfather, Louis Schaffner married Cynthia Moody (from Missouri). HE LEFT MY GREAT GRANDMOTHER SOMETIME IN THE EARLY 1900S AND DISAPPEARED FROM OUR LIVES....He was seen in Chicago, Illinois by a relative and also had a brother who lived in San Jose, California. WE WOULD ALL LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT HIM....We would also like to know about his brothers and sisters, Fred, George, Frank, Treasa (m.Hodges), Hannah (m. Bohn) and William (who married Edna Mae Hodges). I hope to hear from someone.... |
