While I was tracing my Indian roots, I happened upon a letter written years ago to my grandmother from her cousin. There were five brothers who came from France to England and later to Virginia, USA. The brothers branched out from there. They were Thomas, Lewis, William, Francis and George Tackett. Our family came from Virginia into Kentucky and later into Tennesse. Some say we are from Lewis. And so begins our tree.
