I am researching the Shaw-Qualman/McClay heritage. Through the Shaw line family names are Dalton, Wiggington, Foster, Matthews, Basham, Shook, Smothers. Through the Qualman (adopted name from McClay) names are Engel, Seavolt, Kielgas, Bennett, Niekrenz, Jacobi, Huaracha. I am looking for further information on the Engels from Pommeria and Holstein, Germany and George Dalton from England who came to the US about 1774 to fight under Cornwallis in the Revolution. Also, information on Winneyford Wiggingtons family (father John) before coming to the US.
